Job Summary
Lead the proposal, planning, and delivery of corporate insolvency services by identifying strategic, operational, and financial challenges, recommending stabilizing activities, and addressing debt restructuring or recovery needs. Execute formal and informal restructurings, administer insolvency appointments including bankruptcies and proposals, and conduct data analysis to develop financial models. Advise lenders and creditors through business turnarounds while preparing statutory documentation for the BIA, CCAA, and Wind-Up Acts. Manage engagement planning, project financials, and billing, and mentor team members toward professional development. Maintain high-quality control, anticipate risks, and network within the local business community to drive business development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Completion of a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) certification and is a Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT)
- 6+ years of insolvency experience, specifically corporate restructuring experience
- Extensive knowledge of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act
- Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary
Desired Qualifications
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is considered an asset
