Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting

Job Summary

Own the monthly close, drive timelines, and deliver consolidated results across the Accounting and Finance function. Anchor technical accounting decisions as the first line of authority on US GAAP questions. Coach and develop team leaders while managing General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Treasury operations. Assess risk, strengthen controls, and lead process improvements including AI automation. Drive cross-functional alignment to resolve dependencies and support special projects. Partner with SEC Reporting for global consolidation and Latin America Finance for policy alignment. This role strengthens the accounting function as Rush Street Interactive scales its online casino and sports betting brands. Candidates must be based in the Chicagoland area for occasional in-person collaboration.

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS/MS degree in Accounting
  • CPA
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Experience leading in structured, high-stakes environments
  • Proficiency in US GAAP
  • Comfort leveraging AI and automation tools
  • Familiarity with multi-currency accounting and intercompany transactions
  • Proven track record of managing and developing a team in an accounting or finance function
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to exercise influence without direct authority
  • Clear, direct communicator
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Able to travel occasionally both domestically and internationally
  • Public company experience preferred
