Job Summary
Senior Manager – Corporate Accounting position overseeing the global lease accounting process for North and South America, ensuring US GAAP and SOX compliance, and supporting the company’s financial decision-making. Responsibilities include managing lease identification/classification, quarterly journal entries, lease roll-forwards, and footnote disclosures; leading quarterly/annual going concern and fixed asset impairment analyses; coordinating ASC 606 revenue recognition procedures; providing backup treasury support (wire approvals, payroll funding, AP cycles); collaborating with the Financial Reporting Manager on data extraction from ERP systems; partnering with the Senior Director of Financial Reporting and Corporate Controller on ad hoc projects (M&A activity, debt modifications, held-for-sale accounting, stock-based compensation); and training as an ERP super user while driving process improvements across the accounting function. The role requires strong US GAAP knowledge, SOX controls, ERP/SAP experience, and the ability to lead teams and interact with multiple stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 5 years of business experience with at least 3 years in managerial roles
- Strong technical accounting skills with deep knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 842
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- SAP experience or ability to quickly understand and use ERP systems
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Familiarity with SOX compliance and internal control frameworks
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and ability to drill into detailed information
- Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Excel
