Job Summary
Senior Manager – Corporate Accounting oversees corporate accounting and regulatory compliance for Morton Salt, Windsor Salt, and SCIH Salt Holdings. Manages lease accounting globally (North and South America) with SOX controls, leverages ASC 606/842 in revenue and lease accounting, guides going concern and impairment analyses, and collaborates on annual financial statements, footnotes, and memos. Acts as a business partner across finance teams, supports ERP transitions (including SAP) and technical accounting research, and provides backup treasury responsibilities. Leads journal entry analysis, data extraction from ERP systems, and coordination with external audits; supports M&A activity, debt modifications, and other complex accounting matters while ensuring robust internal controls and accurate financial reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 5 years of business experience with a minimum of 3 years of managerial experience in positions of increasing responsibility
- Strong technical accounting skills - deep knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 842
- Experience within a manufacturing industry preferred
- SAP experience preferred or ability to quickly understand and use systems
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Familiarity with SOX compliance and internal control frameworks
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical, problem solving, and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and challenge current processes while offering solutions to create efficiencies
- Attention to detail and willingness to get into detailed information in order to understand processes, results, etc.
- Exceptional knowledge of Excel
