Job Summary
Senior Manager, a client-facing leadership role, directs complex business and technical engagements, overseeing multi-workstream programs, contributing to business development, delivering high-quality client outcomes, and mentoring team members. Responsibilities include guiding strategic and tactical decision-making for engagements, managing program structures, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk mitigation; delivering quality oversight and developmental feedback; building partnerships with clients and internal stakeholders; supporting proposal development and expanding service offerings; and coaching or mentoring others while demonstrating firm values. Required or desired capabilities span architecture of software solutions, cross-functional leadership, and hands-on delivery experience with modern technologies (Python, React/Next.js/Node.js), databases (SQL/NoSQL), APIs/microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), alongside agile and DevOps practices and a track record of building technical practices and teams.
Required Qualifications
- B.A. or B.S. degree required
- 12+ years of experience
- Proven experience architecting software solutions and leading technical teams in software development projects
- Proven experience building practices/teams and active participation in firm growth
- Strong ability to engage and managing relationships with business leaders and clients
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
- Proven experience developing software products and/or solutions in Python for back-end and/or React/Next.js/Node.js for front-end
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL, NoSQL)
- Experience with APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Experience with modern software development practices (Agile, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines)
- Experience in both enterprise software development and professional consulting.
- Proven track record of building technical practices, teams, or reusable solution assets.
- Experience working across industries or deep experience in a strategic vertical (e.g., healthcare, finance, tech).
- Prior involvement in shaping firm service offerings and participating in firm-building initiatives
