Job Summary
Lead a team of construction project managers to execute the national rollout of Scout retail sites, including ground-up facilities, service center additions, and facility remodels. Manage project pipelines for renovations, EV infrastructure upgrades, and operational initiatives while building and maintaining portfolio-level budgets alongside preconstruction teams. Coordinate with internal Real Estate and Architecture teams and external A/E partners on site feasibility, due diligence, and entitlements. Oversee construction activities for retail operations, brand experience centers, and distribution sites, ensuring proper installation of specialized equipment like service lifts and EV charging infrastructure. Conduct site inspections to verify quality, safety, and compliance with Scout standards and local codes. Manage contractors, architects, engineers, and vendors from pre-construction through closeout, coordinating execution and turnover to Operations and Facilities Management. Track costs, approve invoices, and manage change orders to ensure fiscal discipline across multiple concurrent projects. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and operations leaders to ensure proper system implementation and provide regular reporting on project status and risks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from accredited degree program in Construction Management
- minimum of 12 years of construction management experience
- Thorough understanding of drawings and specifications, general contract and subcontract documents
- Strong understanding of permitting and construction processes across multiple jurisdictions
- Thorough knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing and engineering principles and techniques, and accounting principles
- Advanced project management skills, able to manage high volumes of work and ability to move projects forward in a complex environment in a timely manner
- Experience managing multi-site rollout programs across diverse geographic regions
- Working knowledge of service shop design, automotive retail operations, and automotive-specific systems (e.g., lifts, oil/water separators, EV charging infrastructure)
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Procore, Smartsheet, MS Project)
- 18 years of age or older
- 4-5 days per week in the office
- ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person
- travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time
