Job Summary
Lead and develop a team of Construction Specialists and Senior Construction Specialists, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with Roofstock quality standards. Establish and monitor key performance indicators including turn cycle time, budget adherence, and contractor performance while driving operational excellence through standardized processes and playbooks. Partner with Vendor Management to build a high-performing contractor network and collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Property Management, and Asset Management to implement AI-enabled workflows that improve efficiency and customer experience. Analyze operational and financial performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and manage escalated construction issues while representing the organization in executive business reviews. Travel regularly to supported markets to inspect properties and strengthen vendor relationships.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in residential construction, renovations, property maintenance, or a related field, with progressively increasing leadership responsibility
- 5+ years leading managers, supervisors, or high-performing operational teams in a multi-market environment
- Demonstrated success leading multi-market operations with accountability for quality, budget, service levels, and execution
- Strong understanding of residential construction practices, estimating, scopes of work, contractor management, and project lifecycle management
- Experience developing operational processes, driving change management, and leading continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong analytical skills with experience using operational metrics and data to make business decisions
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partners and executive leadership
- Experience managing departmental budgets, operational planning, and resource allocation
- Proven ability to develop leaders, build high-performing teams, and create a culture of accountability and engagement
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to travel regularly to supported markets
