Job Summary
Lead and oversee regulatory compliance and AML/CTF obligations across a portfolio of client mandates within the region. Draft, implement, and manage compliance frameworks while ensuring adherence to local and international regulatory requirements. Coordinate internal and external audits, conduct compliance reviews, and remediate control weaknesses. Deliver training on compliance and governance topics to build client awareness. Represent the firm at industry events and support business development by identifying new opportunities. Communicate compliance risks to senior management and foster relationships with regulators and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Economics, or Accountancy
- Significant demonstrable experience in dealing with regulatory authorities within the Region
- Minimum 8 years overall industry experience
- At least 4 years in Compliance roles within Financial Services
- Direct experience in developing and implementing compliance programs
- Direct experience in creating and implementing regulatory compliance programs within a successful financial services organization
- In-depth understanding of applicable regulatory frameworks including but not limited to DFSA, ADGM, QFCRA, FCA, and CMA
- Proven experience interacting with regulatory authorities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Ability to interact effectively at all organisational levels
- Ability to deliver clear, professional presentations to clients, regulators and senior leadership
- Highly motivated and organised self-starter
- Capable of managing multiple priorities
