Job Summary
Lead and oversee compliance programs for FDIC Part 330, Part 370, FCRA, Regulation V, KYC, and Auto Finance servicing. Monitor regulatory developments, assess business impacts, and drive implementation of required changes while ensuring policies, procedures, and controls remain compliant. Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks associated with operational processes and customer-facing activities. Oversee control design, testing, issue management, and remediation activities. Provide subject matter expertise and credible challenge to business partners on regulatory compliance matters. Coach and develop a team of compliance professionals, set performance objectives, and manage employee performance. Partner with Auto Finance Servicing leaders and business unit management to ensure regulatory requirements are effectively incorporated into servicing activities. Present compliance issues, emerging risks, and program performance to senior management. Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders regarding regulatory requirements and compliance risk management.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Law, or a related field
- 7+ years of progressive compliance, operational risk, regulatory, or banking experience
- Strong knowledge of: FDIC Part 330
- Strong knowledge of: FDIC Part 370
- Strong knowledge of: Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and Regulation V
- Strong knowledge of: KYC/Customer Due Diligence requirements
- Strong knowledge of: Banking operations and regulatory compliance frameworks
- Experience leading complex compliance programs and regulatory initiatives
- Experience managing teams and developing employees
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and issue management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations
- Experience working with regulatory examinations, audits, and remediation programs
- Familiarity with enterprise risk management and compliance governance frameworks
Desired Qualifications
- Experience within a large, complex financial institution (a plus)
- Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) designation (a plus)
- Knowledge of Auto Finance servicing regulations and operational processes (a plus)
- Experience working with regulatory examinations, audits, and remediation programs (a plus)
