Job Summary
Senior Manager, Compensation Accountant at Chanel requires leading compensation accounting activities, ensuring IFRS-compliant recording of compensation-related transactions, overseeing accruals for salaries, bonuses, and long-term incentives, coordinating with HR, Payroll and Finance, and supporting audits and financial planning. The role involves reconciling UKG payroll to GL, managing defined benefit plan disclosures and compliance, transition projects from SAP to Microsoft Dynamics 365, and maintaining internal controls and process improvements across compensation accounting. Strong knowledge of compensation structures, payroll systems, benefits accounting, and payroll tax regulations is essential; collaboration across internal departments and external partners (actuaries, benefits administrators) is required. The position is partially remote with a minimum three days in-office presence in Piscataway, NJ, and offers a base salary range of $87,500 to $150,000 plus variable pay potential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, payroll or compensation administration
- Experience with UKG (payroll system), Workday (HR system) and SAP (accounting system) is preferred; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus
- CPA highly preferred
