Senior Manager, Community Relations

Job Summary
Develop and execute strategic community engagement plans to support solar, energy storage, and clean energy project development across the United States. Partner with the Development and Government Affairs teams to facilitate hearings, permitting meetings, and open houses while managing project-specific budgets and stakeholder relationships. Research locations to identify key elected officials and landowners, tailoring strategies to local needs and mitigating opposition risks. Lead or support on-site engagement activities, coordinate with internal teams to create marketing materials and manage a network of public relations consultants. Consistently execute Arevon's brand presence and collect visual assets for project sites. Requires 5+ years of experience in community relations within renewables, with up to 35% domestic travel.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or equivalent education, training, and experience.
- 5+ years of related work experience in community relations, economic development, or as a campaign field organizer or grassroots organizer.
- Experience in renewables is required.
- Proven track record of creating and presenting project updates to a wide variety of stakeholders and audience members.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required, including writing, proofreading, grammar, syntax, and use of AP Style.
- Understanding of best practices related to community relations, media relations, marketing, and social media.
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities daily.
- Possess an eye for detail and the desire for continuous process improvement.
- Ability to work with team members in different locations around the country.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Ability to travel domestically, up to 35% of the time.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working across rural and non-rural communities is highly preferred.
