Job Summary
Senior Manager - Commercial - Transport DMO to lead budget management, cost control, and comprehensive reporting for major transport infrastructure projects. Develop and implement commercial strategies to maximize profitability and value; lead contract negotiations with contractors, vendors, and partners; monitor budgets and forecasts; collaborate with finance, legal, procurement and project management teams; identify and mitigate commercial risks; provide leadership to the commercial team; prepare and present detailed reports to senior management; stay abreast of market trends and regulatory developments in the transport industry; proficient in enterprise systems such as Power BI, PRISM, and SAP.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Cost Engineering, Legal or related field
- MBA or equivalent is preferred
- 10 – 15 years’ Commercial construction delivery experience – ideally Contractor and Consultancy and working in Program wide roles, working with large commercial teams across multiple projects
- Major program experience – managing multiple projects, conflicting priorities, and stakeholders
- Previous KSA /Middle East experience preferred
- Experience leading Commercial Management of Major Projects in a highly regulated, complex, matrixed environments evidencing Full project life-cycle involvement (Bidding thorough to Final Account)
- Subject matter expert in contracts, claims, arbitration
- Supports team through period of business changes in responding to changing business requirements
- Provides strategic support and guidance in managing and prioritizing the workload of a commercial and contract administration team, deadline-driven and ability to optimize workload
- Ability to leverage exceptional written and verbal skills in English – articulate ideas, strategies, and project performance to a range of audiences and to influence at senior levels
- Ability to leverage in-depth knowledge of enterprise-level management software, such as Prism, SAP, or similar systems
- Leadership skills to inspire large, diverse teams and deliver results
- Leadership skills and the ability to lead the commercial function's direction, specifically endorsing or opposing practices as needed
