Job Summary
Senior Manager leading cloud software engineering within Toyota’s Product Cybersecurity team, overseeing design, development, and delivery of cloud software powering Toyota’s connected vehicle ecosystem. Responsibilities include architecting and delivering cloud software across microservices, APIs, mobile backends, containerized workloads, and serverless platforms on AWS, Azure, and GCP; driving CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code to improve efficiency and quality; building and sustaining a high-performing engineering organization with talent development and succession planning; providing technical thought leadership and acting as a trusted advisor to management across NA, EU, and Japan; engaging with OEM partners, Tier-1 suppliers, and regional teams; ensuring secure software development lifecycle and scalable production workloads. Strong emphasis on leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and deep technical expertise in modern software practices and cloud providers. Required Qualifications
- 12+ years in software engineering
- 5+ years leading cloud software development teams
- Experience with cloud-native software delivery, microservices, containers, DevOps automation
- Proven leadership and cross-functional partnership skills
- Deep cloud provider expertise (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with CI/CD, IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Familiarity with API design (REST/even-driven) and scalable architectures
- Strong written and communication skills with executive leadership exposure
- Bonus: Master’s Degree in Engineering, AI, or related discipline
- Experience with AI/ML and Generative AI platforms
- Experience with ISO/SAE 21434 and/or UN R155/R156
- Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, OSCP)
- Japanese language proficiency is a plus
