Job Summary
Own Azure platform foundations end-to-end, including standards, configuration baselines, and roadmap. Define and maintain a multi-cloud strategy across Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments, establishing governance for workload placement, security guardrails, and cost trade-offs. Lead platform reliability, modernization, and cost optimization while acting as Tier-3 escalation owner for complex incidents. Partner with Data Engineering and AI Studio to optimize shared workloads, enforce security-by-design, and reduce technology debt through Infrastructure as Code and automation. Drive a quarterly platform roadmap aligned to business priorities, mentoring a team of engineers and communicating strategy to senior stakeholders. Maintain an outcome-based operating cadence with clear reporting in Asana, Jira, and ServiceNOW.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 8–12+ years of experience in cloud, infrastructure, identity, or platform engineering
- 3–5+ years of experience leading technical teams
- Deep experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and Entra ID
- Working knowledge of AWS and hybrid environments
- Strong fundamentals across networking, compute, storage, identity, and security
- Hands-on experience with: Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM/Bicep)
- Hands-on experience with: Automation and CI/CD pipelines
- Hands-on experience with: Monitoring, logging, and observability platforms
- Hands-on experience with: Architecting and operating AWS enterprise environments, including IAM, networking/VPC design, compute/storage services, monitoring/logging, security controls, and cost optimization
- Demonstrated experience leading multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud platform strategy, including workload placement decisions, cloud governance, landing zones/account structures, identity integration, network connectivity, and operational standards
- Proven experience operating highly available, enterprise-scale platforms

Desired Qualifications
- Experience with multi-cloud and hybrid cloud architectures

- Familiarity with DevOps and/or SRE operating models
- Azure, M365, or identity-related certifications
- Experience in regulated or large-scale enterprise environments
