Job Summary
Lead the team providing financial reporting processes for insurance companies, overseeing integrity and delivery of all regulatory and statutory financial reporting for non-Lloyd's clients. Drive continuous improvement by leading change, resolving reporting issues, and managing financial compliance across a portfolio of clients. Prepare Board and Audit Committee papers, liaise with external auditors, and maintain accounting policies in accordance with current standards. This role involves playing a leading part in client onboarding, establishing controls, and training the team in insurance-related skills. You will work closely with clients on new accounting standards and contribute to IT financial systems development. Reporting to the Head of Client Finance, you will manage multiple priorities with a proactive approach to driving operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Experience within the insurance industry, ideally in a financial reporting environment
- Strong knowledge of insurance accounting and regulatory reporting requirements
- Proven experience leading and developing teams
- Experience driving change, improving processes and implementing controls
- Ability to build credibility and influence senior internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Confident decision-maker with a proactive approach
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
