Job Summary
Senior Manager, Change Lead for Customer Risk Assessment (CRA) uplift in a 12-month fixed-term role. Lead end-to-end transformation of the CRA framework, acting as the SME for risk rating models, segmentation, data inputs and processes, ensuring regulatory alignment with AUSTRAC-ready governance and embedding into upstream/downstream AML/CTF controls. Accountable for governance, documentation, stakeholder engagement and cross-functional delivery across local, regional and global compliance, risk, operations, technology and data teams. Drive change management, translate regulatory requirements into executable changes, and support targeted training to uplift capability across first and second line teams. Work in-office in Sydney three days a week as part of Western Union’s Compliance Team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree preferred
- Professional certifications in AML/CTF or risk management (e.g. CAMS or equivalent) highly desirable
- At least 7+ years of experience in AML/CTF compliance
- Experience working in a regulatory setting will be highly desirable
- Leadership experience delivering complex regulatory or financial crime change programs within a financial institution
- Deep practical knowledge of AML/CTF frameworks and ML/TF risk assessment design
- Strong governance, stakeholder management and executive communication capability
- Experience delivering ML/TF risk assessment uplifts in response to regulatory reform, enforcement action or supervisory remediation
