Job Summary

Manage the financial oversight of capital projects supporting the company's Long-Term Plan by compiling monthly spend forecasts, tracking timelines and risks, and quantifying financial impacts on business KPIs. Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Business Development to evaluate investment opportunities, develop complex financial models, and prepare business cases and executive summaries for Board-level reviews. Lead the CAPEX Finance team, conduct post-investment reviews, and drive continuous improvements to reporting tools and decision-support capabilities while ensuring compliance with governance processes. This role is based at the Etobicoke Head Office in a hybrid schedule and offers a salary range of $117,000 to $149,000.

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of a university degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project investments, corporate finance, business valuation, strategy, or a related financial discipline
  • Prior leadership experience within a finance function
  • CPA, CFA, CA, CBV, or equivalent professional designation
  • Advanced financial modeling skills with strong knowledge of Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Payback, and investment analysis methodologies
  • Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret data, identify key insights, and translate findings into actionable recommendations
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to senior leadership
  • Demonstrated experience developing executive presentations, business cases, and Board-level materials
  • Results-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and deliverables in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change initiatives and continuously improve processes and reporting
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across finance, operations, engineering, and commercial functions

Desired Qualifications

  • MBA and/or professional designation such as CPA, CFA, or CBV
  • Prior leadership experience within a finance function; experience in food manufacturing is considered a strong asset
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA or other ERP platforms
