Job Summary
Build end-to-end capacity planning processes for commercial proposals and scientific capabilities, translating demand forecasts into resource and staffing plans. Maintain the authoritative record of capacity commitments across the active pipeline while defining standard units of measure and workflow-to-demand mappings. Partner with Product, deal, and executive teams to embed capacity assessment early, distilling complex operational data into clear recommendations. Establish the source of truth for capacity commitments and design the evolving toolset required to support Integrated Business Planning for the lab of the future. This cross-functional role connects Finance, Product, Commercial, AI, and Experimental teams to scale AI Science Factories as Lila moves from research into commercial-scale operations.
Required Qualifications
- 6-8+ years of experience in strategic finance, business or revenue operations, or operations
- Demonstrated experience building and operationalizing a planning tool, system, or process
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to redesign workflows and drive measurable impact
- Ability to learn a technical, scientific, or equipment landscape quickly and translate it into strategic processes
- Experience defining a data model or planning framework from first principles, including units of measure and standard definitions
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders across multiple disciplines while operating with ownership
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, operations, or a directly related technical field
Desired Qualifications
- Experience standing up a capacity or resource planning function from scratch
- Exposure to or technical expertise in deep-tech, biotech, life sciences, or AI/platform businesses
- Familiarity with building repeatable processes and systems alongside highly technical teams
