Job Summary
Lead the business/Product Owner role for technology-based initiatives within Mutual Funds Distribution & RBC Financial Planning (MFD) and Term Investments (TIS). Work with Strategy and Management teams to define and deliver project scope, key deliverables, and strategic alignment. Conduct research and analysis to shape requirements, ensure accuracy and completeness, and perform risk assessments with mitigation plans. Lead change management, training, and communications for assigned initiatives, and partner with Retail Enablement to review and execute organizational change activities. Develop a deep understanding of business issues and vision to determine solutions within project objectives, propose alternative approaches, and identify technology gaps with actionable solutions. Foster strong relationships with business partners, sponsors, and internal/external stakeholders, and ensure effectiveness of Project Managers/Scrum Masters throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Product Owner experience enabling the delivery of medium to large technology-based initiatives
- Excellent planning skills
- Proven written, oral and presentation skills
- Self-starter requiring little management oversight
- Organizational awareness
- Ability to impact and influence through leadership experience
- Ability to work under pressure
