Job Summary
Senior Manager, Business Development role focused on inorganic growth for Baxter’s CCS & FLC divisions. You will identify target companies for merger/acquisition or investment, lead deal origination and execution, coordinate cross-functional due diligence, and support integration planning. You will build relationships with investment bankers, private equity and venture capital investors, strategy consultants, and division leadership; collaborate with global marketing/product teams to identify strategic focus areas; monitor industry trends and deal activity; develop financial/valuation models; draft strategic market assessments and diligence reports; and guide integration planning. This position requires working with senior leadership, travel up to 20%, and a hybrid setup with preferred location at the Deerfield, IL HQ or at one of multiple US offices; the role emphasizes strategic problem solving, data-driven decision making, and cross-functional leadership in a fast-evolving environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Investment banking (M&A) experience required
- Minimum 5 years corporate/business development/M&A, management consulting, investment banking or private equity/venture capital experience
- Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred
- Strong business and financial acumen including in-depth understanding of M&A modeling and forecasting
- Demonstrated success leading due diligence and cross-functional teams
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; proficient in presentation development and delivery
- Ability to work in a matrixed environment
- Travel up to 20% of the time
