Job Summary
Senior Business Development Manager to expand the firm’s reach beyond Massachusetts, deepen partnerships with state and local public agencies across the country, and shape growth through opportunity tracking, capture lifecycle management, and lead proposal efforts across RFPs/RFQs. The role oversees staffing, capability statements, boilerplate content, and BD process optimization, and requires collaboration with leadership, partners, and internal teams. Must hold a Master’s degree in Public Health or related field, with 6+ years in BD/proposal management (including 4+ in public health, consulting, or state/local government contracting), 5+ years of client-facing experience (2+ in project leadership), and strong writing/editing and Microsoft/Google tooling skills. Remote-first within the U.S. with occasional travel; located in the United States.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Public Health or related field
- Minimum of 6 years relevant experience in business development and/or proposal management
- 4+ years in public health, consulting, or state/local government contracting
- Minimum 5 years client-facing experience, including 2+ years in project leadership roles
- Excellent organizational, communication, and writing/editing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and proposal collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Smartsheet)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced consulting environment
- Demonstrated success managing proposals to state, municipal, or public health agencies
