Job Summary
Senior Manager, Biostatistics supports statistical strategy for Medical Affairs and HEOR initiatives across oncology products, including HTA, RWE, and payer submissions. Responsibilities include SAPs, oversight of statistical analyses, collaboration with HEOR and Medical Affairs, regulatory interactions, CRO oversight, and development of SOPs. Requires PhD in Biostatistics or related field (or MS with substantial pharma experience), oncology experience preferred, proficiency in SAS/R, and ability to travel. Onsite in Boston with hybrid work option or fully remote with occasional Boston travel.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Biostatistics or closely related field with minimum 2 years in pharmaceutical industry
- Master’s degree in Statistics or related field with minimum 5 years of experience
- Experience in oncology (preferred)
- Expertise in statistical methodologies for clinical development, Medical Affairs, HEOR and HTA submissions
- Experience with real-world evidence, post-approval studies, indirect treatment comparisons, PROs
- Leadership and mentoring capability
- Strong SAS and R proficiency
- Strong communication skills for non-statistical audiences
- Willingness to travel domestically/internationally
Desired Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a closely related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience
- Master’s degree in Statistics or related field may be considered with minimum of 5 years of experience
- Experience in oncology preferred
- Expertise in statistical methodologies applicable to clinical development, Medical Affairs, and HEOR evidence generation
- Experience in real-world evidence, post-approval studies, indirect treatment comparisons, and HTA-related submissions
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capability
- Experience contributing statistical inputs to regulatory or payer interactions strongly preferred
- Proficiency in SAS and R strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex statistical concepts clearly to non-statistical audiences
- Travel and Location flexibility (some domestic and international travel)
