Job Summary

Directs and motivates the Banquets team while personally delivering high-quality service per requirements and standards, overseeing financial and administrative responsibilities, ensuring sanitation and inventory controls, and cultivating guest relationships. Leads banquet operations, schedules service staff, collaborates with kitchen, maintains beverage records to control liquor costs, and drives customer satisfaction. Builds and leads teams through regular meetings, trains staff on safety and procedures, and contributes to continuous improvement in guest experience, service levels, and department performance. Demonstrates expertise in food and wine pairings, event trends, and relationship management with client groups to sustain growth. Maintains adherence to policies, emergency procedures, and HR-related activities to support a high-performing, guest-focused banquet operation.

Required Qualifications

  • • High school diploma or GED; 3 years experience in the event management, food and beverage, or related professional area.
  • OR
  • • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 1 year experience in the event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area.
