Job Summary
Senior Manager, Asset Management International Tax at KPMG responsible for providing planning advice on the U.S. cross-border aspects of investment fund and transactional work; assisting with business development to expand services for investment fund clients and collaborating with other practice groups and non-U.S. KPMG member firms; managing multiple client engagements and maintaining active communication to manage expectations; researching, writing, and reviewing client tax advice related to U.S. international tax matters; monitoring developments in U.S. international tax and communicating implications to clients; working with a multi-discipline delivery team to address client issues and to deliver innovative tax solutions; leveraging formal training and mentoring to support career development and client service.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum eight years of recent broad experience in international and cross border U.S. taxation in relation to investment funds and cross-border M&A transactions
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; licensed CPA, EA, JD/LLM; in addition to others on KPMG's approved credential listing; any individual who does not possess at least one of the approved designations/credentials when their employment commences, has one year from their date of hire to obtain at least one of the approved designations/credentials
- Working knowledge of international aspects of tax compliance and other quantitative oriented international tax matters
- Hands-on deal experience with the ability to be resourceful and manage engagements with short time frames and team effectively with a multi-discipline delivery team
- Strong planning, research, and communication skills, as well as general knowledge of corporate tax compliance
- Demonstrated capability to develop business and build relationships with client teams
