Job Summary
Design and implement cloud data architecture and integration patterns using Azure, Snowflake, GCP, and AWS. Lead engagements to develop data solutions with advanced modeling techniques and architect engineered solutions leveraging native cloud capabilities. Assess client enterprise data systems to create migration, integration, and warehouse plans while translating complex business requirements into structured analytics use cases. Manage teams in the development of cloud data strategies, raise risks, and collaborate on solution design and business development proposals. Support the consulting sales process by meeting prospective clients to understand needs and create estimates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative field from an accredited college or university with working knowledge of topics such as mathematics, statistics, project management, economics, engineering, computer science, machine learning, operations, decision science, or cloud computing
- 15+ years (preferred) and/or process-specific experience in data & analytics, including strategy and transformation, data modeling, design, and implementation
- Understanding of general landscape for data science and big data opportunities
- deep understanding of process-specific landscape for opportunities
- Ability to communicate effectively at a manager level and an ability to communicate at an executive level, across multiple lines of the organization including IT, analytics, finance, operations, business development, and other industry-specific functions
- Experience implementing enterprise data concepts such as Master Data Management, Enterprise Data Catalog, and Enterprise Data Warehouse
- Experience architecting solutions to solve business problems using cloud data services (Azure preferred) in combination with experience leading and building teams, data pipelines, data streams, and system integration
- Experience with project budgeting
- SME or high exposure to Fabric, Purview, Databricks, Azure and Snowflake
- Experience implementing production cloud analytics platforms (Azure preferred)
- Experienced with data modeling concepts and techniques to design and develop data solutions (file based, normalized or denormalized, star schemas, schema on read, etc…) for mixed workloads
- Understanding of one or more is a big plus -CI/CD, cloud devops, containers (kubernetes/Docker, etc.), Python/PySpark/JavaScript
- Understanding of SQL, report generation using visualization tools such as Tableau/Power BI, programming using Python/Spark
- Possessing a certification(s) in one of the following is a big plus - AWS/Azure/GCP data engineering
- Support clients with agile, medallion architecture or data governance training or credentials
- Strong written and communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts and analytics-driven findings to business, and to explain industry-specific processes, concepts, challenges, and issues to technical resource
- Experience with project management tools (MS Office Suite, Teams, Visio, Cascade, Smartsheet, etc.)
- Ability and willingness to travel; however, as an in-office employer, you must be able to accommodate either working in office or at the client site as required
