Job Summary
Lead a multi-tier team of accounting professionals to manage bookkeeping, vendor payments, treasury, and taxation across all AFPL group companies. Establish KPIs, streamline workflows, and enforce standard operating procedures to ensure financial integrity and prevent leakages. Provide strategic guidance on GST filings, direct tax compliance, and complex reconciliations while acting as a senior authorized signatory for high-value disbursements. Review monthly trial balances, oversee inter-company consolidations, and direct physical audits for assets and inventory. Compile consolidated MIS packs for the CFO and Board, drive variance analysis, lead annual budgeting, and integrate BI tools with the ERP. Serve as the principal coordinator for statutory and internal audits. Minimum 8–10 years of post-qualification experience with a Chartered Accountant or CPA certification is required.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting
- Minimum of 8–10 years of post-qualification experience in corporate finance and accounting
- At least 4–5 years in a core supervisory/managerial role managing a mid-to-large-sized team handling payments, taxation, and general ledger operations within a conglomerate or multi-subsidiary corporate structure
- Deep expertise in Ind AS/IFRS, consolidation rules, and managing multi-entity accounts
- Expert-level understanding of the Indian GST ecosystem (GSTR-1/1A/3B/2B), Income Tax provisions, and transfer pricing
- Mastery of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and MS Excel
- Ability to comfortably present complex financial realities, budgets, and projections to executive directors and external stakeholders
- Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills to manage diverse task streams (Tax vs. AP vs. GL)
- Ability to look beyond basic bookkeeping to provide business-critical cost, cash, and tax optimization recommendations
Desired Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Strong familiarity with BI visualization software (Power BI/Tableau)
