Job Summary
The Senior Manager, Accounting Policy provides authoritative technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and mergers, evaluating financial reporting implications, and developing formal accounting positions. Responsibilities include leading the accounting policy team, conducting technical reviews over accounting areas, managing ad hoc analyses, and representing Invesco in industry accounting standard-setting. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, hold a CPA, possess over 8 years of relevant work experience, and demonstrate strong technical accounting knowledge along with excellent communication and leadership skills.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting
- CPA
- 8+ years public accounting, US GAAP accounting policy and/or SEC reporting work experience required
- Knowledge of Financial Services Industry, Consolidation and Fair Value guidance is preferred
- Ability to simplify complex issues for a non-technical audience
- A growth mindset and a strong appetite to learn and develop
- Solid understanding of technical accounting concepts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to empathize with a wide range of stakeholder perspectives
- Strong grasp of technology and systems
