Job Summary
Senior Manager, Practice Accounting leads the operational accounting function for the UUG practice entity, overseeing a team of managers and staff to deliver timely, accurate accrual-based accounting under US GAAP. Responsibilities include leading month-end close, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, consolidations, and financial reporting; hiring, training, and career development of staff; partnering with Practice Accounting & Analysis and FP&A to provide monthly insights; ensuring alignment of accounting processes with leadership and audit needs; integrating new physicians, tuck-ins, and service lines with opening balance sheets and conversion to accrual basis; driving process improvements and maintaining strong internal controls. Requires strong leadership, communication, and technical accounting knowledge, with travel to partner practices as needed. Preferred qualifications include CPA license and Workday ERP experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- 6+ years of accounting experience, preferably in healthcare
- Prior supervisory experience managing accounting personnel
- Strong knowledge of internal controls and accounting best practices
- Proficiency in Excel; ERP system experience (Workday preferred)
- Active CPA license strongly preferred
- Ability to travel as needed to partner practices
