Senior Manager, Accounting and SEC Reporting

Job Summary

Prepare Form 10-Q and 10-K reports, manage external SEC filings, and draft financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A. Monitor emerging accounting rules from the SEC and PCAOB, then partner with leadership to review complex GAAP matters. Lead stock-based compensation accounting for ASC 718 compliance and post monthly journal entries with account reconciliations for G&A, cash, fixed assets, and leases. Develop accounting policies, streamline controls, and collaborate with legal and IR teams to ensure timely information sharing. This hands-on role requires multitasking within a hybrid schedule in Boston, supporting Bicara's mission to advance bifunctional antibody therapies for solid tumor treatment.

Required Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Accounting
  • 8 plus years of relevant experience
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP
  • Ability to research and interpret accounting guidance
  • Ability to draft accounting memos
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the team
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Active CPA license
