Job Summary
Perform a variety of radiological technical procedures specific to the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in a high-volume outpatient setting, including both fixed and mobile locations. Produce high-quality radiographic images while engaging with patients in a caring, supportive, and reassuring manner. Carry out all required quality control activities as mandated by the MQSA and the FDA. Depending on location, utilize general radiography skills to perform diagnostic radiology exams, conduct bone densitometry (DEXA) studies, or assist with breast-related special procedures in collaboration with physician staff. Work in a patient-focused imaging team dedicated to the early detection and treatment of breast disease at Swedish Ballard.
Required Qualifications
- Formal radiologic technology training program, which meets the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Washington Radiologic Technologist
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- National Registered Technologist - Mammography
