Job Summary
Senior Maintenance Technician leading reliability-focused diagnostics and repairs in a high-uptime steel fabrication environment. Role emphasizes expert-level troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems; ownership of PM programs for critical equipment including cranes, forklifts, and aerial lifts; hands-on work with 480V/3-phase motors, PLC I/O, and VFDs (Allen-Bradley/Siemens); CMMS-driven maintenance planning and root-cause improvements; collaboration with owners and external vendors to ensure safe, permanent fixes.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience in steel processing, metal fabrication, or high-uptime manufacturing plants
- Strong ability to troubleshoot 480V/3-phase motors and controls
- Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and ladder diagrams
- Hands-on experience maintaining bridge cranes and hoists
- Non-negotiable commitment to LOTO, arc-flash awareness, and Fall Protection
- Preferred Skills & Certifications: MBA is preferred
- Journeyman or Master Electrician license is a significant plus
- OSHA 10/30, NFPA 70E, NCCER, or Crane Inspection certifications
