Job Summary
Senior Maintenance Technician – Utilities responsible for the operation, monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of industrial wastewater treatment systems; serves as technical lead for wastewater treatment operations, laboratory testing, process control, preventive maintenance, and operator training. Role includes operating/monitoring SCADA, PLC, and HMI systems, performing mechanical and electrical maintenance on wastewater treatment equipment (DAF, pumps, valves, instrumentation), maintaining compliance with discharge permits, preparing logs and reports, and participating in safety and environmental programs. Works on a rotating day shift (2-2-3, 7 AM–7 PM) and may participate in on-call rotation. Qualifications include a High School Diploma / GED with 6 years of water treatment operations or a related technical schooling path, and familiarity with GMP/SOPs and regulatory requirements. Describes a flexible work model with remote work arrangements where possible.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED and 6 years of Water Treatment Operations or Maintenance experience
- Or 2 years in a Technical School setting with hands-on experience in Water Treatment Operations or Maintenance experience
- Knowledge and experience within a cGMP or other highly regulated environment
- Experience executing and documenting maintenance work orders in a computerized maintenance management system
- Ability to interpret P&ID's
- Ability to work with minimum direction
- Ability to effectively communicate issues and status of tasks in a timely manner
