Job Summary
Senior Maintenance Technician dedicated to maintaining agency facilities and grounds with a hands-on, multi-trade skill set. Responsible for maintenance and grounds across properties, including carpentry, plumbing, roofing, electrical, painting, flooring, and other repairs; performs lawn care; supports the Director of Facilities Maintenance; ensures safety, compliance with policies, and readiness of spaces for clients and staff; requires background and drug screenings, a valid Florida driver’s license, English proficiency, and ability to work a flexible schedule. Demonstrates strong communication, teamwork, and a commitment to the organization’s mission and PQI/accreditation processes.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 4 years of experience in one or more skilled trades
- Valid Florida driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Able to pass Level II criminal background screening
- Subject to random drug screenings
- Must be able to speak, write and understand English
- Experience in carpentry, plumbing, roofing, electrical, painting; ability to operate power equipment
- Flexible work schedule including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to perform maintenance and grounds tasks across multiple properties
- Experience working with vendors; able to formulate scope of work and elicit bids
- Proactive, self-motivated, able to work independently
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Adherence to safety, policies, and mission of the organization
