Job Summary
Inspect daily grounds, buildings, garages, roofs, stairwells, and common areas; complete periodic tenant space and building equipment inspections as directed. Maintain electrical, mechanical, and storage areas in a clean, organized fashion per building code. Complete all corrective and preventative maintenance work orders and service calls in a timely manner. Respond to after-hour or emergency calls within one hour of notification. Maintain accurate building equipment logs and daily maintenance activity logs. Assist on-site teams in various tasks as called upon. A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required; a maintenance van may be provided. This role supports a full-service commercial brokerage managing over 25 million square feet of facilities across Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Rhode Island, North Carolina, and New York.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Trade School or related experience in above fields
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Background Check
- MVR check
- Drug screen
- Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment
- Must be able to read and understand blue prints
- Electrical (low and high voltage)
- Plumbing
- HVAC (including Air Handlers)
- VAV boxes and associated controls
- Temperature control work
- Pneumatics and control work
- EMS
- Motors
- Lighting
- Fire alarm system associated in running office
- Lamp and ballast replacement
- Painting
- All general maintenance work
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
