Job Summary
Diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building system issues while correcting unsafe conditions like broken lights or damaged gates. Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to reduce downtime and monitor security systems for asset preservation. Maintain inventory of supplies and spare parts, document completed work, and report recurring safety concerns. Respond to on-call rotations and emergency maintenance situations, providing professional service to residents and team members. Requires EPA certification, 1–3 years of multi-family experience, and ability to operate tools in various weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- EPA certification (Type I, II, or Universal)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3+ years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or multi‐family housing
- Strong technical skills in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repair, and general building systems
- Ability to safely operate tools and maintenance equipment
- Ability to perform physical work including lifting, climbing ladders, and working indoors/outdoors in various weather conditions
- Willingness to participate in on‐call schedules and respond to emergencies
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and handle multiple work orders
- Strong attention to detail and problem‐solving abilities
- Good communication and customer‐service skills
