Senior Maintenance Technician (Live-In)

Job Summary
Oversee, perform, and complete preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance work orders while coordinating month-end duties such as pre-inspecting vacant suites and ensuring timely suite turnovers. Conduct daily and weekly site inspections of interior, exterior, and vacant areas, troubleshooting on-the-job problems and addressing resident service requests within 24 hours. Complete minor plumbing and electrical repairs, manage hazardous materials, and maintain up-to-date service records and MSD sheets for all equipment. Accompany vendors, oversee quality for cleaning and maintenance staff, and respond to environmental hazards while upholding property rules. Perform after-hours emergency response and on-call duty as required, with a base pay range of $40,000.00 - $49,000.00 per year.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma supplemented with post-secondary courses
- 5 years' experience in all areas of building operations, including mechanical, fire and safety, electrical and HVAC systems
- General building construction knowledge and experience
- Able to read and review construction drawings
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both oral and written in English
- Ability to allocate one's time effectively, work under pressure and manage tight deadlines
- Ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities
- Adapt to new ideas and constant changes
- Willing to be and available for after-hours callouts in emergency or unavoidable situations
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- WHMIS and First Aid Training
- Police Clearance
