Senior Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Maintain facility grounds, conduct scheduled preventative maintenance inspections, and identify potential issues before failures occur. Perform minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building repairs, including painting, patching, and finishing work. Complete office relocations, assist with demolition, and respond to routine maintenance requests across all Harbor locations. Transport materials and equipment as required, while managing accurate work orders and inspection documentation. Perform seasonal snow and ice removal to ensure safe facility access. Requires a valid driver's license, defensive driving training, and five years of relevant technical experience. Full-time, 40-hour position with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of five (5) years of maintenance, facilities, building operations, construction, or related technical experience
- Experience performing minor plumbing repairs, including replacing faucets, toilets, sinks, shut-off valves, and clearing drains
- Experience performing minor electrical work, including replacing switches, outlets, light fixtures, ballasts, and LED lighting components
- Experience conducting routine HVAC preventative maintenance such as filter replacement, belt inspection, and basic system troubleshooting
- Ability to utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Experience painting, patching, and completing general carpentry repairs
- Must be able to move and carry heavy objects including furniture and equipment
- Must be dependable, punctual and able to follow directions as assigned
- Must remain up to date on annual Defensive Driving for 15-Passenger Vans training requirement
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Acceptable driving record
- Show proof of personal auto insurance policy to be deemed insurable with Harbor's vehicle insurance carrier
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree in Facilities Maintenance, Building Systems Technology, HVAC, Electrical Technology, Construction Management, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field
- Technical certifications in one or more skilled trades, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or general building maintenance
