Job Summary
Conduct daily maintenance tasks and diagnose repairs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, exterior structures, and appliances. Respond to maintenance requests promptly while ensuring property safety, cleanliness, and curb appeal. Supervise outside contractors, coordinate move-ins and move-outs, and maintain inventory and supplies. Schedule and document preventative maintenance, conduct regular inspections of common areas and equipment, and ensure compliance with all relevant policies and regulations. Assist with safety meetings and report potential liabilities. Work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, holidays, and on-call rotations across Broadwater Townhomes in Chester, VA, and Guardian Place in Richmond, VA.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- HVAC-EPA (Type II) or EPA Universal license
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license
- Valid driver's license
- 2+ years of experience in property maintenance or a related field
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliances
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements
- General computer skills including operating a mobile device
- Superior customer service skills including the ability to manage difficult customers and/or situations
- Ability to be on-call for after-hours emergencies
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings and holidays
