Job Summary
Lead, manage, and bring accountability to the Southview maintenance team while completing assigned tasks like painting, flooring replacement, fixture installation, and HVAC maintenance. Document all work in AppFolio, submit receipts, and record hours accurately. Ensure property compliance with local housing codes, conduct routine inspections, and implement preventative maintenance plans. Respond promptly to emergency requests, including after-hours situations, to address critical issues. Work full-time onsite with flexibility for occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts to minimize resident disruptions.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in renovation, repair, and maintenance work, preferably in a rental property or similar setting
- Strong, comprehensive understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to lead crews and work independently
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with tenants, property managers, and fellow team members
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to industry regulations and best practices
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts to address urgent maintenance needs
- Physical stamina and agility to perform tasks that may involve lifting heavy objects, working at heights, and navigating confined spaces
