Job Summary
Diagnose mechanical problems using technical manuals and expertise, then perform repairs and maintenance on recycling and C&D waste facility equipment to maximize safe operations. Replace conveyor belts, motors, and hydraulic cylinders while fabricating repair parts with machine shop instrumentation. Maintain equipment inventories by checking stock levels, expediting orders, and verifying receipts. Use hand, power, and electrical tools to cut with torch and weld, potentially repairing plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. Work on heights using aerial platforms and follow all safety policies. Requires 5+ years of industrial experience, proficiency in hydraulic systems, PLC troubleshooting, and welding, with a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- At least 5+ years of industrial experience, training, or a combination
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient on hydraulic and pneumatic system troubleshooting and repair
- Proficient in PLC troubleshooting and problem-solving ability with practical, mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Proficient with OXY/Acet torch
- Proficient in all welding processes
- Proficient in all conveyer system repairs
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Valid driver's license
- Mechanical or trade school certificate
- Must be willing to work any shift & some weekends
Desired Qualifications
- CMMS software experience preferred
