Job Summary
Senior Maintenance Tech responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on woodworking machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on equipment such as edgebanders, panel saws, CNC routers, doweling machines, and case clamps; maintaining maintenance logs and parts inventory; assisting with machine setup and calibration; collaborating with production to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability; and following safety protocols while supporting facility maintenance tasks such as lighting and dust collection systems.
Required Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience repairing industrial woodworking equipment.
- Solid understanding of electrical systems, including motors, sensors, wiring, and control panels.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Experience with CNC machinery troubleshooting is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with PLCs is a plus (not required).
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience maintaining electrical equipment
- Experience with leading a team of maintenance personnel or supervisory experience.
