Senior Maintenance Mechanic

Job Summary
Achieve daily and job specific goals by troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on production and facilities equipment. Install new or relocate existing equipment with required utilities including water, compressed air, electrical, steam, hydraulic, and vacuum systems. Direct maintenance mechanics and operators as needed, ensuring safe and efficient work habits while adhering to all REDAR rules and policies. Respond to production requirements and adjust priorities to minimize downtime. Complete jobs on time as assigned by the Maintenance Planner, Supervisor, Facilities Engineer, or Chief Facilities Engineer. Recognize and correct facility or equipment problems independently, utilizing the REDAR CMMS platform for workorder status communication.
Required Qualifications
- Access to ITAR and/or EAR controlled technical data, technology or source code
- Authorization to access ITAR and/or EAR controlled technical data, technology or source code
- In-depth knowledge of general maintenance
- Ability to use a personal respirator
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to frequently lift items weighing up to 50 lbs (unassisted)
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Ability to read, write, and understand company written procedures
- Basic computer skills such as Microsoft office
- Minimum 10 years' experience in industrial maintenance
- Knowledge in troubleshooting equipment and systems
- Knowledge in plumbing
- Knowledge in steam
- Knowledge in hydraulics
- Knowledge in pneumatics
- Knowledge in mechanics
- Knowledge in pumps
- Some welding
- Basic electrical
- Ability to read and understand equipment manuals
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Ability to read and understand hydraulic/pneumatic schematics
- Certification in HVAC (Universal)
- Certification in Welding
- Certification in Commercial or Industrial Electrical
- Certification in Instrumentation, or I&E
