The Senior Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and quality repairs on equipment, including diesel engines and hydraulic systems. Key responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical issues, dismantling and repairing machinery, conducting welding and fabrication, maintaining operational readiness of equipment, and adhering to safety standards. Candidates should possess a strong background in mechanical systems and at least 3 years of related maintenance experience.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience with heavy machinery, trucks, and metal processing equipment
- Strong background in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
- Ability to lead or support a maintenance team
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working overhead, climbing ladders, kneeling, and standing for long periods
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and organized
- Must hold a valid driver’s license
