Senior Maintenance Manager

Job Summary
Lead execution of maintenance activities for all Canadian Programs across bases and deployed environments, ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable aircraft availability through effective coordination of planning, manpower, and operational execution. Provide functional oversight of Base Leads and maintenance personnel while managing the Fleet Management Plan for the 0-18 month timeframe. Liaise with Transport Canada and the Department of National Defense to maintain AMO compliance and resolve airworthiness or safety concerns. Supervise direct reports, conduct performance reviews, and manage financial and operational resources within a high-tempo operating environment. Requires Level 2 Secret Clearance and Transport Canada AME M1/M2 license.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum seven (7) years of experience with aircraft maintenance overseeing both line and heavy maintenance execution (military or civil)
- Minimum seven (7) years of leadership experience in a similar role
- Strong leadership skills in a dynamic high tempo environment
- Strong communicator who disseminates and obtains information with discretion professionalism and diplomacy
- Knowledge of airworthiness regulations (Transport Canada and DND), Quality Systems, and compliance requirements including Controlled Goods, security management, and ITAR, within military and civilian maintenance environments
- General knowledge of business operations, local legislation, financial statements, and budgeting
- Knowledge of Project Management
- Good Customer Service Skills
- Fluent in English
- Valid Transport Canada AME M1 and/or M2 License
- Controlled Goods Clearance
- Level 2 Secret Clearance
