Job Summary
Manage and improve the CMMS while driving maintenance planning across 14-day through 5-yearly horizons, overseeing budgets, and ensuring critical spares availability. Coordinate with Supply Chain, HSEQ, and Engineering to verify unit compliance with Class, statutory, and operational standards. Proactively plan shutdowns, life extensions, and modifications, mobilizing external providers and supporting breakdowns and overhauls. Conduct monthly unit visits to monitor performance and participate in incident investigations and Management of Change processes.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Mechatronics, Petroleum, Chemical, Engineering
- CREA (Engineering Brazilian Council) register
- Solid experience in the offshore oil and gas industry in technical position
- Advanced English (oral and written)
- Good knowledge of the relevant requirements of the classification societies and international rules and regulations
- Good understanding of FPSO design, topsides/subsea architecture, production systems, utilities (power, cooling, compressed air, waste management)
- Basic familiarity with, ballast systems, fire & gas safety
- Average competency in compressor, turbine, pump, and reciprocating equipment failure modes, condition assessment, and repair strategies
- Knowledge of vibration analysis, temperature monitoring, oil analysis
- Visit the Unit on a regular basis as required
- Actively participate in incident investigations / root cause analysis along with other departments such as HSEQ
- Support technical input in preparation before raising an CR(Change Request) and MOC (Management of Change)
Desired Qualifications
- Previous Supervisor or Service experience from FPSOs or offshore platforms
- Technical certifications in the same areas
- Previous experience with database systems and maintenance management
- Experience with predictive maintenance tools (vibration monitoring, thermography, oil analysis, ultrasound)
