Senior Machine Learning Scientist (Personalisation)

Senior Machine Learning Engineer on ASOS’s Personalisation team responsible for designing, building, and running production ML systems that power recommendations, pricing, and customer targeting at scale. Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product partners to productionise deep learning models, deploy both batch and real-time solutions, improve the codebase and tooling, and contribute to ML standards. Mentoring more junior engineers, guiding technical direction, and sharing knowledge across the ML/engineering community. Requires hands-on experience applying ML in production, familiarity with recommendation/ranking systems, modern deep learning frameworks, GPU-based training, data pipelines, CI/CD, containerisation, MLOps practices, and strong software engineering fundamentals. The role involves cross-functional collaboration and delivering high-impact, customer-focused ML capabilities in a retail/fashion context, with hybrid work arrangements in London, UK.
