Job Summary
Senior Machine Learning Engineer to design, train, and evaluate ML models that drive meaningful business impact for a high-acuity virtual behavioral health platform. Build real-time inference pipelines using live data streams, write production backend code in a Python monolith (FastAPI), and partner with clinical, design, data science, and product teams to improve outcomes. Pioneer advanced experimentation and causal inference to measure outcomes, mentor teammates, document processes, and share knowledge. Role requires 4 days per week in the NYC office (Flatiron District).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 4+ years of professional experience delivering production software and ML models OR Master's/Doctorate in a technical field with 2+ years of such experience
- Expertise in Python for ML (pandas, sklearn, etc.) and backend server development (FastAPI)
- Strong SQL skills and experience with analytical and transactional databases
- Experience developing agentic AI workflows is a plus
- Ability to manage ambiguity and break down complex problems
- Growth mindset and collaborative communication
