Job Summary
Senior M&A Tax Associate located in or near Atlanta, GA, focusing on tax due diligence for buy-side and sell-side transactions. Lead and support engagements, draft clear due diligence reports and memoranda, conduct tax research, prioritize multiple client engagements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver transaction advisory services. Emphasis on leading teams, delivering timely client deliverables, and providing practical recommendations in fast-paced environments. Flexible work arrangements are offered, with on-site availability at the Atlanta office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- 3-4+ years of tax experience, with a focus on M&A, transaction advisory preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint proficiency
- Advanced Excel skills preferred, including advanced functions, financial modeling, and data analysis
- Exceptional writing skills with the ability to draft clear, concise, and well-structured reports, memos, and client communications
- Proficiency with tax research tools and software
- Ability to prioritize issues, assess risk, and develop practical recommendations in fast-paced environments
- Proven ability to prioritize work across clients and internally with team members, including providing timely status updates
- Analytical thinker, detail-oriented, and client-focused with strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- CPA, JD, or similar certification is preferred
- Public accounting, legal, or consulting firm experience is preferred
