Job Summary
Deploy and support ultra-low latency market data infrastructure, including multicast connectivity and exchange feeds, while optimizing high-speed data delivery pipelines for deterministic performance. Design, implement, and troubleshoot routing protocols like BGP and OSPF to manage route convergence, failover, and traffic engineering strategies in co-location and exchange environments. Perform deep packet capture analysis using Corvil/cPacket to investigate latency, packet loss, and feed gaps, conducting root cause analysis for production incidents. Lead troubleshooting of critical issues across network, application, and infrastructure layers, collaborating with trading and Dev teams for rapid resolution. Drive automation with Python/Ansible for network provisioning and improve observability frameworks to ensure microsecond performance alignment between hardware, network, and trading applications.
Required Qualifications
- Deep expertise in: Market Data connectivity (exchange feeds, multicast, feed handlers)
- Multicast (PIM, IGMP), TCP/IP internals, low-latency networking
- Packet capture tools (tcpdump, Wireshark) and traffic analysis
- Corvil / cPacket or similar observability platforms
- Strong hands-on experience with: Cisco & Arista switching/routing platforms
- Data center and co-location network architectures
- FPGA-based systems or hardware-accelerated networking
- Ultra-low latency trading environments (HFT, market making, exchanges)
- Programming / scripting knowledge (Python preferred) for automation
- Strong understanding of FIX, market data protocols, and real-time systems architecture
