Job Summary
Develop logistics and acquisition planning support for the Logistics Operations Division, including drafting sustainment support operations for U.S. Army units deployed to the African continent and developing logistics acquisition processes for contingency locations. Assist the Operational Contract Support Integration Cell in planning requirements for steady-state and contingency operations, update the Operational Contract Support Common Operational Picture, and review strategic and operational plans. Coordinate with stakeholders to develop performance work statements, market research reports, and cost estimates while tracking contract actions through the acquisitions process. Prepare briefings, correspondence, and staff summaries for senior managers and manage historical records and databases. This temporary 15-month position requires 10% travel availability and an Active Secret clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5 years of military experience
- High School diploma
- 10 years of U.S. Army experience
- Familiarity with DFAR
- Familiarity with AFAR
- familiarity with the contracting process
- Demonstrated U.S. Army experience
- familiarity with the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications, specifically Excel, Word, Power Point, Power BI
- Capable of being qualified in Joint Operational Contract Support Planning and Execution Course (JOPEC) within six months of start date
- U.S. citizenship
- Active Secret security clearance
- 10% availability to travel
Desired Qualifications
- Former U.S. Army Officer, (CPT-LTC), Senior Warrant Officer (CW3-CW5) or Senior NCO (SFC-SGM)
- Additional Skill Identifier 3C (Operational Contracting Support Officer)
- Service/Experience as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR) in garrison or a deployed environment
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the U.S. Army
- familiarity with the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP)
